What is a CDA?
The Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™ is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education. It's a great way to advance your career in early childhood education. The CDA® is based on a core set of competency standards set by the Council for Professional Recognition that guide early childhood professionals toward becoming qualified educators of young children.

How to renew your CDA
The CDA credential is valid for three years from the awarded date. You may apply to renew your CDA credential 90 days before it expires. Bertelsen Education, a Procare Solutions company, offers three renewal bundles with courses highlighting each setting of care. For example, the infant-toddler bundle will have courses on subjects such as safe sleep or potty training, whereas those subjects won’t appear in the preschool bundle.
